Alan joined Sanne in November 2022 and has been the Regional Head for Middle East and Africa in Apex since the acquisition of Sanne. A Chartered Accountant by profession, he has spent the bulk of his career in the professional service industry and added financial service exposure to that, positioning him well to growing the region on strong client service principals

Sybil Somaes is an accomplished leader in the Namibian financial services industry, with over 15 years of experience. She currently leads our business in Namibia, where she is responsible for expanding client service and delivery teams, creating new job opportunities, and driving growth in the region. Before joining us, Sybil launched Compli-Serve (Namibia) in 2020, a regulatory compliance joint venture with the Compli-Serve Group in South Africa. Her visionary leadership and strategic insights have been instrumental in the success of this venture. Sybil has also served as the Chief Executive Officer of the Namibia Savings and Investment Association, where she played a pivotal role in advancing the interests of the savings and investment community in Namibia. Additionally, she has held senior roles at PPS Insurance Namibia and Old Mutual Namibia. Her leadership extends beyond her professional roles, as she has actively contributed to various boards and industry body committees, advocating for the development and growth of the financial sector in Namibia. Sybil's holds a BCom and LLB from Rhodes University in South Africa and a post-graduate qualification in business administration through Henley Business School.

Andre has 35 years’ experience in the financial services information technology and 3rd party administration industry. He began his career at Andersen Consulting and joined Syfrets in 1991 where he headed up the software development division before setting up FMS, the unit trust outsourcing division of Nedcor Investment Bank. Andre joined Maitland in 2000 and was responsible for the roll out of the FinSwitch business-to-business switch and Maitland’s infrastructure services division. In his role as Head of Business Development (Africa), Andre was responsible for domestic and international sales activities for Maitland’s fund services division. Andre joined Apex Group through their acquisition of Maitland in 2023 and is currently the Regional Head of Sales for Africa, Middle East & Mauritius.
